Within the five main terrains of the Minervois,
our vineyard is located on two geological and climatic areas.
Trausse. In the heart of the Minervois, terraces of siliceous pebbles are spread
around the Argent-Double River and its tributary the Ognon river, both of which
descend from the Black Mountain. The vineyards are protected from ocean influences and mainly
receive Mediterranean rainfalls. The small amount of rain
and dry climate is marked by the surrounding natural landscape of fragrant bush land.
Felines Minervois «La Liviniere». Part of the AOC Minervois appellation, these vineyards have a geology and a climate separate from the rest. An arid area subject to insufficient rain in summer that benefits during the night times by fresh winds that come from the Causse (the first plateaux of the Black Mountain) to balance the heat of the daytimes. The soils are made up of compact limestone and calcareous marl.
